So ... who do you think did better and why?

(I don't usually beg for comments but I really want to know! if you don't know what to say just vote on the sidebar poll)

I just love Sarah Palin. I want to be her friend. Go to coffee. Chat.

As for the debate, I think it went just as an article I read beforehand...Joe is a master of facts, he knows statistics, policies, dates...but he would likely bore the average American with them. Sarah would charm the pants off everyone...but not say very much of substance. So, as much I am proud of her for doing a great job and holding her own against a man with significantly more experience, I'm not sure she said much beyond lots of great sound bites. And at one point actually made me spit out my spaghetti! :)

okay so going into it, there were things that bugged me about sarah palin. not so much her politics, but her. after seeing the debate tho, all i have to say is, you go girl! i about fell off the couch when she busted out with, "say it ain't so, joe!" she cracks me up!!! and hey, she has more kids than me, so that is kind of exciting. :)

i thought each of them did just fine. comparing them is kinda like comparing apples and oranges i think.

as for her "inexperience", maybe that's what we need in washington, virtuous leaders without a bunch of government experience that usually corrupts people anyhow. (obviously if you disagree with her politics that's a different issue entirely.)

jeannett, if you become friends and go to coffee together, i would like to come as well!

I think it was really a tie. I think they both did very well (I was hoping for a Palin slam dunk). I was very pleased with Sarah's demeaner - I really felt that she was herself, and I think people will like that.

About Joe Biden's facts....I haven't done much research yet, but I've read some things that said some of his "facts" were either mistaken or out and out lies. He also mispoke about the constitution and how it related to the VP & executive/legislative branch. But, for the average joe (me included)he may have sounded like he knew what he was talking about and fooled those not smart enough to pick up on the mistakes or ambitious enough to research those 'facts.'

p.s. jeannett, when did you spit out your spaghetti? just curious.

kasey, i heard about that as well. i guess maybe i'm really skeptical, but i basically don't trust any facts that any of them say. :)

When she said something along the lines of "Well, that was just my attempt at a lame joke, and apparently you were attempting a lame joke as well because nobody got it." (roughly paraphrased).

As a side note, regardless of party affiliation, I am so stoked about Sarah Palin. I love that she can be a feminine woman yet be powerful and confident. Unlike Hillary, who while very intelligent, makes it appear as if to be a woman in public office you have to be a b***h.

jeannett HA, loved your description of hillary! :) i too like that palin is feminine--the lady has 5 kids for goodness sakes--but is successful in politics.
