I doubt anyone but family will be "instrested" in viewing Zak's school project. The paramaters: learn all that you can about a bug, build a model of said bug and present at least 3 facts to your classmates.
Phillip got pretty excited about this project and after 2 hours spent in Michaels we had the raw material. It wasn't the fully articulated giant, nor the hand dyed silk on a bamboo frame that Phillip had to be talked down from (at one point he had a huge round piece of wood and was thinking through who we might know that had a lathe). We went overboard, but at least I was able to steer us into shallow waters. I couldn't prevent Phillip from staying up all night making the "how to" video but hopefully it was awe inspiring to 10 little kindergarteners. (I'll buy anyone coffee who can recognize the intro music and give me an approximate guess as to where he got it.)

OK, in looking back at my initial response, it could be seen as rather harsh. It was not meant that way, but sometimes my attempts at humor fall flat. In reality, as a fellow SLOCA mom, Tyler and I had a similar experience creating his famous black ant. I always wonder, when given assignments such as this, who really benefits from it. Tyler and Zac do seem to know some new and interesting facts about their insects, and we got some fun bonding time with them. So, I suppose it's all worth it!

I learned alot about Luna Moths and, frankly, Zak learned a it about video editing.
I've been in edit bays with impatinet directors before, and he wasn't much different, "No! Move that to the front! Now click over there!"

SUPER cute! Doesn't hurt to have a daddy in the movie business does it?! Henry will have the unfair advantage anytime there's a airplane or rocket project...so I guess it all evens out in the end! :)
