Well, he made it to Thailand (after 30 hours of travel, and 3 hour of sleep) and had about an hour or two of rest before going out into the jungle to start filming. The area that he is in is pretty rural and gorgeous! So jealous!! I'm glad he is staying someplace nice :) I kind of expected a hut or something. Guess I'm not going to get to call him Feral Phil after all.
Here is what I'm Thankful for:
We are so thankful that he has work
that he made it there safely
that Skype is free and easy to use (we were able to call and talk for a few minutes)
that God has his perfect timing and way of providing
that the kids are asleep and it's not even 9
that tomorrow is a "home day" with nothing planned except for a tiny bit of home school and housework.
that apples and cheese are such a nice snack!
Oh the list goes on :)

Jacquelyn, my mind is swimming with the idea of you being so close to Baby with Phil halfway or more across the world. I know, I know, how tactless of me to remind you. All this to say, I had no idea, I hope it's short, and please call me if you need help. We can meet at the park again.
Wow, I assumed he was going based on your weather applet, but you had never really said anything about it...so I was a bit surprised that he was already gone! How long is he supposed to be gone for?

We have no idea how long he will be over there until he gets his shooting schedule. I'm hoping less than two weeks. He got a call 5 days before he left to let him know that they needed him so it was pretty last minute!
I will be praying for all of you. I have a small taste of what you're going through. Been pregnant and apart (but not due soon!) and with small ones (but not also pregnant, and only one pint sized entertainer).
Oh good! I was worried that it might be months! I'm sorry to hear he is gone again. Andy just got back last night from being in Cleveland for four days...and I thought I was going to DIE. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder though! :)
i too didn't know that philip was going to thailand. how exciting for him. and i agree that apples and cheese are a nice snack,
